There should be a tombstoning of a profile where a valued member of the community has run their last trail. I'm thinking of Joe Benbow in particular currently, but more generally over the years there will inevitably be users who leave the community due to mortality. It would feel wrong to simply delete a profile from leaderboards, but at the same time it's also not appropriate that a profile remains open to buddy invites. I'm not sure what is the best way to manage all this tastefully and respectfully, but am sure that it does require consideration.
